Well, that was 2022 and it’s been another cracking year in the world of video computer games. Yes, we may not have got all of the big exclusives we were hoping for over the past twelve months, with the likes of Redfall and Starfield still MIA, but on the flipside we’ve been spoiled with gems such as Pentiment, Immortality and the absolutely phenomenal Vampire Survivors. It’s hard to feel too sorry for ourselves really, innit.

Of course, it’s not all about exclusives, and 2022 was a pretty stonking year for video games in general, even when factoring in the understandable slowdown we’ve continued to observe in terms of AAA releases due to the ongoing ripple effects of the global pandemic. We also saw indies step up to the plate in a big way over the past 12 months too, with an avalanche of amazing titles like Tunic, Cult Of The Lamb, A Plague Tale Requiem, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge and so many more to keep us busy while some of those missing big hitters get prepped for release in the months ahead.

Looking forward to 2023, then, what’s next for us Xbox gamers? Well, with that question in mind, we’ve put together a list of 50 of our most-anticipated releases that are due to rock onto our consoles and Xbox Game Pass in 2023 and, we’re not gonna lie, it seems as though this may very well be an absolutely phenomenal year if everything goes according to plan with regards to release dates.
